Enrolments

ENROLMENTS FOR 2020 OPEN FROM 29 APRIL

Enrolling at our school
We currently have approximately 1345 students from Prep to Year Six, with about 44 students participating in our Special Education Program. An enrolment management plan is employed to ensure consistency of student numbers, so that existing resources can support student learning programs effectively.

Students must permanently reside within our catchment area for an application for enrolment to be accepted. Parents are required to download the:

  • Department's ENROLMENT FORM
  • Submit the application with original documents to the office in person for consideration by our Enrolment Management Committee.
  • Prep interviews for following year will be by appointment in Term 4.

Catchment area

The Warrigal Road State School catchment area can be viewed to determine if your permanent place of residence resides in the catchment area. All applicants residing in our catchment area must have the necessary proof of residence detailed in the Guide to Enrolment.

Prep

To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.

The only enrolments to be automatically accepted will be from those families who reside within the school catchment area. All other applicants can apply for the waiting list from the date advised that we are accepting enrolments for the upcoming year. Please email your students details to enrolments@warrigalroadss.eq.edu.au

At this stage the only waiting list applications expected to be accepted will be those from families who live outside the catchment area but already have a child in the school or students of staff members. While other applications are welcome to apply for the waiting list, we advise that you make alternative arrangements with your local state schools.

Enrolment interviews for successful Prep applicants will occur during Term four the year prior to commencing. Parents will be notified by email, our Facebook page, newsletter and website when to access School On-line Booking System to organise a suitable time.

Little Warrigals
The Little Warrigals program is a transition program for students who will attend prep the following year at Warrigal Road State School. Information for Little Warrigals will be emailed from the office after submitting the enrolment application. This will occur during Semester 2.

Other year levels

Families who reside outside the catchment area are to be placed on a waiting list for the Enrolment Management Committee to review.  While applicants are welcome to apply for the waiting list, we advise that you make alternative arrangements with your local state schools.
