Warrigal Road State School Library aims to encourage students to become lifelong learners.
The objectives of the Library are:
- Maintain a balanced and organised collection of high-quality resources and provide professional assistance to all of its patrons.
- Deliver quality education in developing information-gathering skills including accessing, evaluating, and using various information sources.
- Promote technological competence by providing access to information available in non-print formats.
- Promote and support the multicultural nature of the school by ensuring resources are responsive to the needs of students and the community at large.
The Library houses an extensive range of resources including Picture Books, Junior Non-Fiction, Easy Fiction, Fiction, Teacher Reference materials, Kits, DVDs and Hardware. The Library also features an interactive whiteboard and learning area, as well as seven computers for research and two inquiry terminals.
The Library actively encourages participation in Readers' Cup, Simultaneous Reading Day, Premier's Reading Challenge, Book Week and Writers Workshops.
