Support Parents through Advocacy, Resources and Knowledge (SPARK)
SPARK is a school-wide initiative designed to support all families through:
- Advocacy: Providing a voice for parents as valued partners in learning.
- Resources: Offering practical tools and information to help families navigate school life.
- Knowledge: Sharing insights that build confidence, understanding and connection.
SPARK aims to strengthen the partnership between home, school and the wider community. We recognise that parents are a child's first teachers and believe that working together creates a supportive, informed and consistent school environment.
We support families through a range of parent capacity-building opportunities, including drop-in sessions, external guest speakers, information leaflets, and the sharing of community-based services and supports. We also help parents understand school systems and processes, ensuring they know where to go and what steps to take if they have questions, concerns or require assistance.
